Kristen Matuszak

Kristen Matuszak is an emerging artist currently living in the Boston Area of Massachusetts. Matuszak's work directly responds to her surrounding environment and uses her own life experiences as a starting point. She aims to create individual works that explore the dynamic relationship between audience and director, further complicating the reception of the many layers of meaning within her work. She continuously questions the idea of the power of the lens and what can be discovered or uncovered via self-portraiture. Matuszak holds a Masters of Fine Art in Photography and Integrated Media at Lesley Art + Design, and a Bachelors of Fine Art in Photography from The State University of New York at New Paltz.
